Mr. Glen Wright Mr. Glen Wright is the Chair of MedManager's Board of Directors, and provides strategic leadership and insight gained from a successful career in the health insurance and employee benefits industry. Previously, Mr. Wright served as Chair of two of Ontario's largest Crown Corporations - the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and Hydro One. He was also Chair of Cowan Wright Beauchamp, a pension and benefits consulting firm he established in 1980. Mr. Wright is a Director with a number of companies including PrinterOn Corporation, LeanCor LLC, Waterloo North Hydro, and TurboSonic Technologies. In June 2009, Mr. Wright was appointed to the Joint Public Advisory Panel part of the NAFTA Commission for Environmental Cooperation. Dr. Donald D. Cowan, P. Eng., PhD Dr. Don Cowan serves on the MedManager Board of Directors and as a Senior Advisor to the product development team. Dr. Don Cowan is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and the founding Chair of the University's Computer Science Department. He continues his affiliation with the University of Waterloo as Director of the Computer Systems Group. Dr. Cowan has served as a Consulting Scholar with IBM, and advised many other businesses and government agencies. Dr. Cowan co-founded Watcom (now iAnywhere Solutions, a Sybase subsidiary) and LivePage Corporation (now part of Oracle). He is a member of the National Order of Scientific Merit (Great Cross) of Brazil, the country's highest scientific honour. Mr. Roy Mould, MBA, OMM, CD Mr. Roy Mould brings over twenty years of executive and leadership experience from the healthcare and military sectors to MedManager's Board of Directors. Mr. Mould is the former Chief Prevention and Corporate Strategy Officer with Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. His experience also includes a distinguished military career, where he began as a fighter pilot and rose to the rank of Brigadier-General with the Canadian Air Force. Among his many leadership positions, Mr. Mould served as a Vice-Commander of the NORAD/US Space Command world-wide Operations Centre and was the National Director of the Canadian reengineering renewal initiative to restructure and streamline Canada's Air Force. Mr. Michael Cowan Mr. Michael Cowan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MedManager, and is a member of the Board of Directors. As the company's initial Vice President of Development, he led the design and creation of MedManager's original diabetes management program. Mr. Cowan has over 20 years experience in software development and Information Technology consulting. Prior to joining MedManager, Mr. Cowan co-founded Trike Systems, an Internet services firm that specialized in data-intensive web applications. Mr. Brian Turnbull Mr. Brian Turnbull joined MedManager's Board of Directors in 2002. He has had a distinguished career in the public and private sectors. In the early 1970's, Mr. Turnbull was elected as a Waterloo City Councillor, serving a total of 11 years, and then was elected as Waterloo's Mayor, a role he held for nine years. In 1980, Mr. Turnbull established a financial service business and built it into a Canada-wide organization with offices in most major cities. Mr. Trevor Grove Mr. Trevor Grove is a founder of MedManager Interactive Corporation and is currently MedManager's Corporate Secretary-Treasurer and serves on the Board of Directors. During his 15 years as a staff researcher at the University of Waterloo's Computer Systems Group, Mr. Grove was one of the founders of Watcom (now iAnywhere Solutions), and was involved in the commercialization of university research projects. Since 1994, Mr. Grove has operated a number of consultancy and software development organizations including Trike Systems Inc. and MedManager. In 2004, Mr. Grove returned to the University of Waterloo as a member of the technical staff in the David R Cheriton School of Computer Science. |
